Holiday and sicknessPlease ensure that you tell both the company you are working for and your Page Personnel Secretarial & Business Support consultant if you are sick or plan to take a holiday. As a temporary worker you have a minimum entitlement of 5.6 weeks statutory paid holiday in any holiday year (January to December). This entitlement accrues in proportion to the time worked by you and is paid as a 12.07% addition to your agreed pay rate. Some of our clients pay this when you actually take a day off. Make sure you are clear which policy the client you are working for adopts each time you take a new booking. For more information on your rights, please see the Directgov website.Notice periodsIf you need to end your assignment early, please give as much notice as possible. It is expected that you adhere to any agreed notice periods; the company you are working would show you the same courtesy.Advice for tempsLinksReferences and remunerationTimesheets, expensesHoliday, sickness and notice periodsNew to the UK?Download our guide to tempingSecretarial and business supportLinksAbout usSalary comparison toolBrowse for jobsInsight and adviceLinksWhat are the benefits of fast recruitment processes for secretarial roles? How to manage counter offersThe skills gap and Brexit for Business Support and Secretarial workersBuilding success from setbacks – Grant ZaccariaIt’s not too late to hire temporary cover for the Christmas holidaysA day in the life of an executive assistant in the financial servicesCareer adviceLooking to temp?Candidate interview seriesHow can I be the best personal assistant?News and updatesLinksDemand for new recruitment consultants at an all time highWomen in the City Future Leaders Awards 2015 - top 10 shortlistRegional recruitmentOil and gas market updateOur commitments to our clientsOur commitments to our candidatesMarket insight resultsEmployment law updateArchive
